We took the plunge.
It took courage to walk into our office and begin the process of
dismantling and selling the small empire we had slaved to create,
during the previous fourteen years.
We had only made the decision to move to Canada a few hours
before, but we knew in our hearts that a new page in our book
had been turned with that single decision and we turned all of our
attention to building a new life of freedom.

Certainly ours is not an unusual story, but having been moulded
into the hectic city life , to cut loose from those bonds and to start
a new life in the wilderness of a new country with a goal of
self-sufficiency is a daunting prospect.
Our high-street retail shop, organic restaurant and cafe; our
factory premises and workshops all had to be closed down and
sold, together with a huge, rambling piece of ancient architecture
we had been rebuilding.
All of this on a hunch that there was more to life than the bricks
and mortar and stressful existence we had created for ourselves.
We all become so focused on what is before us that is often
impossible to see anything else unless someone points it out.
We had status, we had a substantial home, we had employees
and responsibilities......we had debts and sleepless nights and
stress up to our eyeballs .......we were normal people in a 'civilized
world'.......but it still wasn't what we wanted.
We wanted sovereignty over our own lives!
We wanted freedom !

has taken us five years to establish ourselves in our new world.
That is five years of scratching a living out of the dirt, but it has
been worth every single step.
We dreamed of living a life of freedom. We dreamed of growing
our own food. We dreamed of not having to go out to work, we
dreamed of having the time to breathe and enjoy every breath!
The only way these dreams could possibly come true is if we
turned our complete attention to them. I cannot emphasise
enough the importance of your thoughts.
Nothing....NOTHING! is created in this world without it first being
imagined. You must learn the techniques of training your
imagination and teaching your subconscious mind what it is you
truly desire. You do this by focusing on what you want, not on
what you don't want.

point out the traps before you land in one. Why is it that top
athletes all have personal coaches or trainers if they know
everything there is to know about being the best in their sport?
If you are standing in the middle of an arena you can only see
the area you are looking at and perhaps a little from your side
vision. Someone who is up in the stands can see the entire field
and is better placed to direct you. They too will have an arena of
their own, which they cannot fully see and they too will need
guidance. Even the coach needs a coach!
