Life is a Minefield. Correct?
No matter how carefully you try to pick your way through life it has the
uncanny ability to surprise you with the least expected events ....some of
them good and some of them not so good.
A question we all ask ourselves - 'Is there a way of leading a life whereby I
am always in control'?
The answer is both Yes and No
You cannot predict the unpredictable, but you can improve your attitude and
reaction to events and believe it or not you can orchestrate more of the
events you do want in your life and therefore less of the ones you don't !
How?

'Like attracts like'. It's a fact of life that proves itself
over and over in our lives ....and yet we seldom make
use of this law in a conscious manner.
As already explained, if you focus on negative
events, the Universe responds by sending more of
them; your 'prayers' are being answered, even
though you weren't consciously praying! Prayers,
meditation, contemplation......call it what you like is
simply a tool to focus the mind on the direction you
want to take. However, do you know which direction
you want to take?
What are your goals in life? if you don't know then
you are simply drifting around in the ocean of life like
a ship without a captain. You are at the mercy of the
tides and currents of life, used by others to fulfill their
goals, swept onto the rocks of endless strife. Would
the same be true if you consciously thought about
what you wanted from life and were making plans to
achieve those goals?
There are two types of people: achievers and
drifters. Achievers will tell you that whatever you want
in life, you can have - provided that you set your mind
to it and take action. It doesn't mean that you no
longer have difficulties in life, but for achievers those
difficulties are merely obstacles and for drifters they
are problems.
Set Yourself Goals
Decide what you want from life, in the short term and the long term. If you
want to start a new career, make enquiries about getting started; what
education you might need, what skills you may need to hone, what
experience is required. Collect information, study it and immerse yourself
down.
...and don't let up. Build a momentum that will carry you to your goal.
Gather pictures of what you want and display them prominently where they
will remind you of your goal when things don't appear to be going your way.
You will still have challenges and meet obstacles, but if you really want
something you can overcome any hurdle.
There are many useful books and tools to assist you in achieving your
goals, don't be shy of seeking help. just reading about how other people
overcame seemingly insurmountable odds to achieve something
remarkable might put your own challenge into perspective.
